Ferrari or Lamborghini, Morris or Mini, if we've an experience to share, it's here. Ownership, specifications and galleries of cars from Aston Martin to Volkswagon plus galleries and videos of automotive events we've attended since 1998.

With a new diff under the 308, a recent cambelt service and dry weather forecast, the Ferrari fun day couldn't have been better timed. A slowish jaunt en-route to the event and a quick back lane blast with a (late) pub lunch stop on the way back, blew away some of the cobwebs the poor GTS gathered during its "resting" period. With new diff's hard to get hold of and at over £2k a pop anyway, the boys at QV London came up trumps with a good second hand part and I'm pleased to report the car is running like a dream again.

The Ferrari Fun Day was organised by the Thames Valley Area Group of the Ferrari Owners Club with proceeds going to the Berks Oxon and Bucks Air Ambulance. By 3pm, they had sold over 800 "Ride in a Ferrari" tickets which at £15 each meant they had raised over £12,000 on car rides alone. Well done to everybody involved in the organisation, it was a good day and a good sum raised for a worthwhile charity.

Sad news announced this month was the closure of tour operators, FB5k. The FB5k organised motoring tours for car enthusiasts across Europe and gave me a couple of my best ever holidays. These holidays also gave me the opportunity to meet many like minded car nuts who are now good friends. The company directors are now in the process of setting up new tour companies along different lines and we wish them the very best in their new ventures.
